Mailene (@frommailenesbookshelf) is a puertorrican living in Texas, and has loved reading since she can remember. She reads dark romance for the most part (but the wholesome romances are a good option too) and is a mood reader, and once she chooses a book, she'll hyperfixate and read it in a day or two. If she could recommend a book from any of our attending authors, she will answer with "Break for Me" by Ember Nicole.
I’m Sam and I own Bound by Mischief Author Services based primarily on Instagram. We run book tours/marketing for indie authors as well as offering PA/VA services. My tbr would tell you I have a huge range of readability - my faves being fantasy and hockey romance. I love a good RomCom and dark romance too! I am located in Central Ohio and I am stoked to be able to take part in this event! I look forward to getting to know everyone and working with you over the next year as we prep for this amazing event!

Nicolette (Nikki for short), @sippingbookswithsampson, is a Kentucky native! She enjoys UK football games with her family & coaching track and field. Nikki has loved reading since elementary school. Her love for reading has changed over the years but romance has always been the main genre. She reads ALL KINDS of romance, mainly dark! Sarah (@bookish.sarahh) is from East TN and spends her time reading, baking, kayaking, spending time with her family, and partaking in fun chaotic shenanigans with her friends. Sarah loves reading just about any genre and indie authors are her favorite! With all the amazing authors coming to Books and Bourbon in October Sarah is having a hard time picking just one to recommend overall! Carmen (@carmens.library_) believes the darker the better when it comes to both her books and her wardrobe. She reads mostly dark romance and horror, but loves a little bit of everything. She lives in Michigan with her husband, two boys, and two cats. If she's not reading or supporting new mamas as a Doula and Childbirth Educator then she's probably cheering one of her local teams.

Niki is from Hershey, Pennsylvania where she's a caffeine driven full time mother of 4. In her free time she enjoys playing guitar, hiking, creating art, and of course reading. She has been an avid reader for as long as she can remember. These days she sticks primarily to anything dark romance and/or full of swoon worthy spice. Her love for art and reading is what led her to start Ink Drinking Designs where she creates trendy bookish apparel, eye catching stickers, and other creative book inspired accessories.

Taylor (@lovinglife.lovingbooks) lives in the mountains of East Tennessee. She rediscovered her reading after college with the ACOTAR series and hasn’t turned back since. She loves anything fantasy, dark romance, thriller, and smut. There are so many amazing authors coming to Books and Bourbon in October and can’t recommend just one. my name is Emma and I live in a small town in Manitoba, Canada where it’s winter for more than half the year. I started this journey over a year ago now with the goal of sharing my new found love for books, and spreading the joy these books brought me. I was never the kid that was interested in reading. I would start one, get bored or frustrated and would never finish reading it. I was a slow reader, hated reading out loud and was a terrible speller. Everything has changed now in the best way possible. I’m not a very outgoing person, but this community has helped me grow, I’ve met some amazing friends, I’ve gotten out of my shell and engage more with other book lovers.
I got sucked into this magical community who sticks by one another, helps each other and overall amazing. I’ve met people who share my love of romance books, fantasy and many more. During the past year and a bit I’ve found some amazing indie authors, have been lucky to be on their street teams and help out with ARCs. Being part of the community has given me chances to share authors’ babies (their books) to the world, as well as bookish merch and so much more
